A note sent to Professor Sanders about an internship opportunity. Contact Professor Sanders if you are interested in this.
Good afternoon Professor Sanders,
My name is Keith Wood, and I was referred to you by your former student Phillip Salfity who mentioned you as being the go-to guy for students who are looking for internship opportunities to flex their web design and technical muscles. At the University-associated Upper Albany Main Street office we have a Technology Consultant position available for Graduate Assistant level pay (12.80/hr) for a student that is looking to do up to 20 hours a week worth of technology based work for the entire school year. I'm sure Phil has talked to you already about the Micro Business Incubator program and its enabling effects on Albany Avenue businesses, but if he hasn't I can forward you a bunch of documentation on how we've paired up University students with Micro Businesses with great success. This next semester we're looking to help expand a couple businesses into the internet marketplace, or at the very least develop their branding and market awareness. The technology consultant will be responsible for aiding other student interns with the technologically challenging aspects of their projects, such as designing and launching websites, information management, networking, and perhaps even rebranding. If you think one of your students would be interested in working with us and building their resume and portfolio, or if you'd like to just talk about it, let me know. We could really use the best that the University of Hartford has to offer to give back to the city!
Sincerely,
Keith Wood
